Collection: Michaela @urban_furdo_petstyling's top picks

Michaela, an award-winning expert dog groomer and owner of Urban Furdo Pet Styling, has curated her top picks from our scissor collection.

Michaela’s top four scissor picks are:

  1. QYL-65 Serrated Curved Scissors: Michaela finds the serrated curve ideal for small to medium dogs with teddy or Asian Fusion faces, as well as for rounding out feet. It’s perfectly angled for creating those round, teddy bear ears.
  2. QSG-80 8" Large Curved Scissors: Michaela’s go-to for everyday grooming. These curves work wonders on dogs of all sizes, whether shaping round heads, and feet or crafting rosettes and topknots on poodles. They’re versatile for teddy heads of any size.
  3. QYL-8028 Curved Chunkers (8"): The ultimate blending tool for double coats. The gentle curve effortlessly sculpts the feathering on breeds like Pomeranians, Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, and Keeshonds. With just a few strokes, it leaves a smooth, natural finish.
  4. HBL-7022c straight Magic Shears: Perfect for preserving texture on coarse coats—think Airedale heads, Schnauzers, Lakelands, and Westies. This shear excels in quickly blending lines and removing length without choppiness, especially on hocks of double-coated breeds or when tidying up legs on wavy-coated oodles.

Our nail grinder is also one of her favourites: it's affordable, plugs in for extra power to get through nails quickly, and is super quiet. Even dogs that dislike nail trimming respond well to this grinder.
