SH - 80 is a pair of straight scissors that is nicely handmade with 440C steel, maintaining a very sharp edge for an extended period, reducing the need for frequent sharpening.

SH - 80 weighs an adequate amount, making it perfect for groomers who prefer working with some weight to achieve a nice balance during grooming.

Why is it so powerful?

The sword blade isn't actually sharper because of the shape alone—it performs better because of a combination of factors:

• More blade mass. The thicker blade carries more momentum through the hair, making cuts feel effortless.
• Greater rigidity. It flexes less than a slim blade, so more of your hand's force goes directly into the cut.
• Convex edge. Most sword blades are paired with a convex edge, which is extremely sharp and slices rather than crushes the hair.
• Excellent power transfer. The blade geometry allows the scissors to "push" through thick coats with less resistance.
